    Plant Information

Aglaonema First Diamond is a stunning variety of Aglaonema that is highly sought after for its unique and beautiful foliage. This plant is native to Southeast Asia and is a popular choice for indoor gardening due to its striking appearance and ease of care. It gets its name from the beautiful diamond-shaped patterns that adorn its leaves. These patterns are a beautiful combination of light green, dark green, white and silver, giving the plant a bright and shiny appearance that is sure to catch the eye.

Aglaonema are relatively easy to care for, and are the perfect plants for beginners and experienced growers alike. Aglaonema plants generally grow bush-style, and produce offshoots, or “pups,” once they settle into their pots. As indoor houseplants, they will fill slowly their pots with pups, creating a low maintenance, beautifully dense statement piece.

    Care and Maintenance

Remember that each plant is unique, so closely monitor your plant and adjust its care based on its response. By providing the right conditions, you'll be rewarded with a stunning and healthy plant that adds a touch of tropical elegance to your indoor space.

    Light

Provide bright, indirect light for your aglaonema. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but its coloration will be most pronounced and attractive in moderate to bright indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves.

    Temperature

Maintain a comfortable room temperature between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Keep it away from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.

    Watering

Allow the top inch or two of the soil to dry out before watering, as aglaonema generally prefer drier conditions and do well with a bit of neglect.  Water thoroughly when needed, but ensure that the pot has proper drainage to prevent waterlogged roots.

    Soil

Use a well-draining potting mix to prevent overwatering. A mix of regular potting soil, perlite, and peat moss or coconut coir works well.

    Fertilization

Feed your aglaonema with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or eliminate fertilization during the fall and winter when growth slows down.

    Humidity

Aglaonema can tolerate average indoor humidity levels. However, it may benefit from increased humidity. Misting the plant or using a humidity tray can help.

    Pruning

Trim any yellowing or dead leaves to maintain the plant's appearance and encourage new growth.

    Potting

Repot your aglaonema when it becomes root-bound or outgrows its current container. Repotting is best done in the spring.

    Dusting

Dust can accumulate on the leaves, hindering their ability to absorb light. Wipe the leaves gently with a damp cloth or give the plant a shower occasionally to keep it clean.

    Pests and Diseases

Keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like spider mites, thrips, aphids, and mealybugs. If you spot any pests, take action promptly with appropriate treatments.

    Rotation

To ensure even growth and avoid the plant leaning towards the light source, rotate it every couple of weeks.
